Macromedia debuts MAX Conference, Awards

Macromedia today announced the debut of its , which combines the best of the company's popular DevCon and UCON events. The event will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah, from November 18-21. The conference will help developers and designers sharpen their skills, learn about new Macromedia products including the MX 2004 product line, and network with their industry peers. Attendees who register by September 26 will save $200 off the registration fee of $1100.

Macromedia also announced the new MAX Awards, which will showcase and recognize the most innovative digital experiences built with Macromedia technology. Categories include: Advertising; Business; Branding; Customer-Facing Applications; e-Learning; Education; Government and Non-Profit; and Media, Entertainment, and Gaming. Submissions are due by September 26.

MAX will feature 89 intensive workshop and hands-on sessions divided into four tracks, as well as technical support labs, a cyber cafe, and several special events. Expert presenters for the workshop sessions include Angela Buraglia, co-author of Dreamweaver MX Killer Tips; Ben Forta, senior product evangelist at Macromedia, and Simon Horwith, chief technology officer of eTRILOGY, Ltd.



Macromedia is also hosting its annual Partner Briefing at Macromedia MAX 2003 on Tuesday, November 18 from 9am to 5 pm. The agenda includes updates on strategy for building a practice with Macromedia technology, future direction, and program updates from Macromedia executives and the Alliance Partner team. To attend the Partner Briefing, you must be a Macromedia Alliance Partner. You can register for this event during the conference registration process.
