There is a new beta of the Mac Napster client available: Napster 1.0b1.1. Napster for the Mac offers a Hot List for users to communicate with online friends. Existing Macster users who upgrade to Napster for the Mac can quickly get started by registering with their Macster username and password.

No idea what has been improved in this release.
Clicking on the columns (i.e. sort by artist etc.) still results in Napster quitting.
I would have thought this would be the first damn thing they'd fix.
I dl'd it and didn't see any release notes. About box and version info still say 1.0b1. The only difference I've noticed is that the Console button is missing from the toolbar and a "Discover New Music" button is there. It takes you to a page on the Napster web site.
I've never encountered the sorting bug you mentioned..
Yes, clicking in 1.0b1 on the columns to sort by e.g., artist, results in Napster crashing on most -- but not all -- of my systems. Only on one config does Napster not crash.
This was a problem for me with many versions of Macster but was fixed eventually. Too bad it showed up again with Napster 1.0b1.
