LaCie unveils line of Mobile Hard Drives

LaCie announced today it will begin shipping in September its , designed by F.A. Porsche. It is designed for people on the go, offering a durable and stylish enclosure with up to 80GB of storage. The bus-powered drives are available in capacities up to 80GB. The USB 2.0 version is available in 20GB ($130), 40GB ($180), and 80GB ($340), while the FireWire version is available in the same capacities for $140, $190, and $250, respectively and includes both a FireWire 6-pin to 6-pin cable and an iLink 6-pin to 4-pin certified cable as well as a USB power sharing adapter cable for non-powered IEEE1394 bus equipped computers.
