  • Popwire's offers the reliability and speed of server-based encoding in an desktop environment. By taking full advantage
of Mac OS X's multithreaded environment as well as multiprocessor (SMP) and
Velocity Engine support, Popwire says it has created the fastest desktop encoder on
the market. Among the latest added features in version 2.1 are e.g. Pre-view, support for 2-pass encoding, MPEG-4 Advanced profile, added and improved filters, optimized performance and an improved GUI. The retail price is $585; upgrades from v2.0 are free and $175 for v1.x owners.

  • Popwire's Compression Engine 1.4 is a high-performance digital media conversion
system for broadcasting companies, media houses, ISP's and mobile operators
who handle large amounts of content. The server-based Compression Engine simplifies the processof distributing content in multiple formats and transcoding it between incompatible systems. It runs on Mac OS X
and Solaris and offers support for 2-pass encoding, MPEG-4 Advanced profile,
MPEG-2 support, GXF files, new and improved filters, and optimized performance. (Pricing not available.)

  • Popwire's Cluster Framework 1.0 is a multi-processing, fault-tolerant and
high-performance coding solution optimized for the broadcast and telco
industries. Cluster Framework allows multiple instances of Popwire's
Compression Engine to work together to increase throughput for even the
largest volumes of content and widest array of media formats. It is available for Mac OS X and Solaris.
