    Ok, performance

Anyone actually used this on a G5 yet?
Performance is a huge issue for this in the past, wondering just how much of an advance it is.

    Specs?

It'd be helpful knowing the strengths and weaknesses of this product. Would anybody be willing to do an actual review so slobs like me aren't caught off guard?

Having said that, the price seems right ($30 + cost of OS).

Will this thing support DirectX, video cards, 3D? What kind of performance can one reasonably expect? The older version had no USB support --- has this been addressed?

    Slow as molasses

This product is based on bochs which is so slow it is unusable for anything productive. Installing windows 95 takes over a day.

    they are not charging

for bochs. and just because something is open source dont make it free. what they are charging for is the added convenience of YOU the user not having to know how to run , compile, configure, etc., the software. YOU pay for THAT convenience, not bochs itself. so saying "They're charging for Bochs?... WTF??? It's open source. " makes you ignorant to the facts at hand. if you like, you can get bochs and make it run your damn self. but you WILL pay for the programmers and geeks that do all the behind teh scenes work to get it to run on a non techie persons computer if you so wish to have it easy to use. If you cant get it to run becuase you lack the knowledge to do so, then you get to pay a reasonable price to have someone WITH the knowhow, to get it to run for you in a pretty little GUI you can understand and use. open source doesnt mean free, it just ,means you can get the source code and generally do with it what you please. but that includes the fact that someone is getting that FREE code, making a package that is easy to use, and they getting the money for the work and time they put into it all. if you know how to make it run, then you dont need their 30 dollar softare. but if you dont know how , then here is your receipt for 30 bucks and have a great day, thanks for doing business.
