Salling Software updates Salling Clicker 2.0
updated 07:15 am EDT, Wed September 3, 2003
is a substantial update to its innovative software that lets users remotely control Mac applications from a handheld device using Bluetooth. Version 2.0 extends the original concept of proximity sensing to include more general "activity awareness". It also adds iPhoto integration; support for more Palm and Sony hardware; and drag-and-drop installation of new actions from most web browsers and email clients. It is $10 for Sony Ericsson phones (free upgrade) and $15 for Palm OS handhelds (Tungsten T/T2). In unregistered trial-mode, Salling Clicker is limited to 30 clicks at a time.

If you've got a supported Bluetooth phone, this is about the best $10 you can spend. I use my T68i with my Powerbook to give presentations, watch DVDs on vacation, and listen to music around the house. Address Book sync is nice, but this is what I really use the BT connectivity for.
