EZQuest ships FireWire Boa Slim DVD-RW drive

EZQuest is shipping its new external , whic weighs less than a pound, measures 6" x 5.5" x 0.75", and features both a FireWire and a USB 2.0 port. The bus-powered (FireWire only) drive operates at 2x DVD-R, 2x DVD-RW, 8x DVD-ROM, 16x CD-R, 8x CD-RW and 24x CD-ROM speeds. It includes Pixela IMX authoring software for encoding iMovies to MPEG-2 and burning DVDs; Charismac for burning CDs and DVDs; and Retrospect Express for scheduling automatic backups. It is available now with a 1-year warranty for $360, while a USB-only version is also available for $340. [originally posted 9/02]
