Dean lives in that perfect, ideological world where the grass is always greener on the other side. He wants government to take care of everyone, and will use our tax dollars to do it. He was the governor of a small, insignificant state, and would have absolutely no clue what to do when faced with making difficult decisions.

People love to joke and bash Bush. But there's been no president in the last 30 years who had to make important decisions than Bush. (How quickly people forget two years ago...) Things did change.

How many more people have to get taxed 5 years from now because of junior's tax cut today?
How many more coporations will get to pay 0$ in federal income tax because they are based in the caribean?
How many more people are going to lose their health insurance?
How many more people are going to pay more for gas?
How many more people is cheney going to f*** under with his energy policy shaped by enron etc.?
How many more americans have to die in iraq?
How many nukes will north korea build since junior called him a "pygmy"?
How many more people will rent since they can not afford to buy?

i was

watching cspan yesterday. and it was about the dean campaign. one of the flight attendants hurt her ankle and dean saw to her.

I laughed and wept as here is a doctor in dean that tried to help and then i thought what would bush do?

I think the answer is something like, "daddy can you get someone to help this lady like you helped me a million times over?"

Seriously, leaders put themselves in a position to be mocked and ridiculed. We do to our bosses, we do to our political leaders we do to the fiscal leaders. We hate people above ourselves, and Bush insults are just a refelection of the frustration people feel with what we percieve as extreme short comings in the president. We don't like the air of superiority he exudes from birth. We don't like the change in areas of regulation - relaxing of environmental regulation while personal freedoms are curtailed in national security. We don't like the lack of participation of those without money. We don't like going to war with nations that didn't attack us. We don't need another phony war to prop up a Republican white house, and lastly, we do not need the international humiliation this administration has been.

All because of ego.

11. Oh, and let's not forget UNELECTED.

It's easy to see that just about *anyone* from *either* party could do a better job. He is quite possibly not just the worst president in my lifetime, but the worst president EVER.

Look at the facts...the economy started on it's downward spiral during Clinton's last year in office. What did Bush have to do with that? He stated this fact during the campaign and he was crucified for "talking down" the economy. Don't forget, 9/11 cost billions to the Economy, not to mention the human losses. Right now the economy is growing at over 3% a quarter, look it up. Wal Mart even attirbuted their greater than expected sales to the recent child care tax credit. I spent mine on a new Mac by the way.

Just listen to the Dems, they never have anything good to say about anyone. If you are a conservative you cannot be a judge. God forbid you are a black conservative, look at what they did to Judge Thomas. Why would you vote for a group of people that can only win by hoping the country suffers? They never offer anything new, raise taxes and spend spend spend.

What exactly did Bush do to hurt the economy? Lower taxes? Give people more of their hard earned money? Yeah, that is it......

Calf's problems started way before Bush ever took office. Their problem it that they have too much demand for electricity and have not produced a single generating facility for over 10 years (at least). To blame Bush for Enron is just stupid. Clinton's Treasury Secretary called Cheney and asked for "help" with the Enron mess and they denied him. Does Bush and Cheney having ties to the oil industry make them evil? No it does not. If we would be allowed to drill for oil in our own country maybe we would not be dependent on foreign oil. But the tree huggers balk at any attempt to find new sources of oil. Forget electric cars too, we need to build new power generating plants to supply the needed electricity to charge these cars. Face it, the Dems (and Bush haters) have nothing new to offer but insults and taxes, taxes and more taxes. We need less gov't not more.

God forbid laws matter. Florida's Supreme Court tried to make law from the bench. They got called on it and that is wrong?

Don't forget that if Gore was not declared the "winner" thousands of Bush voters in the pan handle would voted instead of walking out of line and not voting. Then, wow Gore didn't win the state. Hanging chads, dimpled chads, Gore was a disgrace to this country.

Just my little observation from all the politics related discussion in macnn so far. There are two types of ppl are more likely to be mac users:

1. hardcore conservatives. know nothing about classes, critical social theory nor the day-to-day struggle of the poor (you got to have some fortune to own a mac, after all)

2. hardcore liberals. so obsessed with social issues, but not quite know how to articulate themselves to the general public (you got to be think different to own a mac, after all)

this is why we have so much fun in talking about politics.

I myself am neither a hardcore conservative or a hardcore liberal. I am, though, a hardcore Macintosh user and a (monetarily poor) student who tends to make up his own mind about political topics and not rely on the media for any non-biased information. I am a Texan, and I did vote for Bush, and right now I can still say that I am happy and proud with my decision. We cannot blame all of these problems on just one person (ie. Bush). Take an active part in local politics by electing better representatives and senators and things will begin to happen. If you people put the same amount of energy into active political participation instead of bitching in a MacNN forum you'd be surprised at what could change.

All I have to say to you guys complaining that Democrats raise taxes is at least I'll have a job and be able to pay those taxes when a Democrat is in office. I don't mind doing my part and paying taxes. "Ask not what your country can do for but what you can do for your country."

Also it could be argued that with Bush's mishandling of foreign policy 9/11 may have never happened had the man that was actually elected by the people been in office (Gore - he received more votes, remember).

You american people pay lots, i mean i shitload of money (wich is around 4 billions a month) to a very dumb human being to waste it on killing the wrong people in the war against terrorism. Irak has had nothing to do about september 11, but their people, more than 6000 (double of september 11) iraqis died till now. But Al Quaeda is still killing people around the globe and we always heard they are planning others.

North Korea is becoming a real problem with nuclear, Iran is also building nuclear weapons, but irak wich the UN inspector has found nothing and wanted more time,
was chosen because for the oil, so it can pays itself back. but now it has cost you around 70 billions, 4 new a months, and bremer has ask for 10 more right now. it doesn't work for the oil exportation, there is vandalism and could be like that for a long while. in the same time, al quaeda wich has already attacked you very hard more than once, are planning other attacks on you.

And bush and chenney has backgrounds with oil industry and give contracts to their friend for the irak 'reconstruction'. bush & friends seems to get most benefice from it, but you are the one paying the bills and you doesn't really seems to be safer after the 70 billions you spend on 'prevential bombing'.

i'm skipping on so many things (all the lies made to the world), and i'm not even talking about economy, environments, and much other stuff.

we just don't get it, you pay to get screwed and you ask for more.

Nothing. If the votes had been counted by any fair and reasonable standard, Gore would have won Florida's electoral votes. With Bush "winning" by such a narrow margin it's obvious that the scales were tipped by the ignoring of postmarks and valid signatures on military ballots combined with the disenfranchisement of mostly black voters by their fraudulent addition to the felons list. Does that help?

Please god, not another four years of the biggest moron ever elected to the chair. He has single-handedly destroyed our economy, our civil freedoms, and our world reputation. The national debt is DOUBLE the lowest it's ever been, and he still wants money to fight his war in Iraq, while more people die every day!

The only reason Bush is even remotely popular is because he was president during 9/11. Yet what did he do with it? We STILL haven't found Bin Laden. So he rides the wave to get us all to go into Iraq. Yet no Saddam, no WMD. It's all been a bunch of bullshit lies so he could gain control of Iraq's oil and please his corporate buddies. On top of that he passed not one but TWO "patriot" laws that have removed more freedoms from americans then any acts ever passed!

It's unbelievable to me that people continue to support this guy. Even if I were a republican I would not want him running again.

Bush has a lot on his plate and is working admirably. All you naysayers should give him a chance. Rome wasn't built in a day or even 4 years for that matter. Stop with the anger and just show some support. In this day and age, we are all used to getting immediate results in everything we do, even the fast food restaurants we go to are incredibly fast to serve us. Lets remember that government cannot have a speed tactic applied to it like the next fastest processors from Intel or IBM. Before you cast off my comment here, please think to yourself for a second and ask yourself, "do I really know what�s going on in politics or am I just getting duped by the media yet again."
Look at it this way, what ever the government is planning; do you really think they will tell everybody about it? No because government can't run without keeping strategic information classified for a given amount of time. As long as there is a conflict that we are presiding over, we as Americans have to weather it out and not cry to the opposing party to change it because of selfish reasons. I lost my job about a month ago but have found a new one that is actually better. The company that I work for now said of their plans that they will be purchasing more space and hiring more people because the economy is coming back. Sounds good to me. By the way MicroSoft Sucks.
