If you want the first ones, pay up. If you want it to be cheaper, just wait. That's what 30 years of computing teaches us.

too much $$$

I hope that a new 12" comes out, but not if it's going to force me into having to pay 1/4 the price of my entire computer for a RAM chip. Tooooo expensive. I thought I'd be the first to buy a gig when it game out for my powerbook, but it's just not justified. I rather restart in about 30 seconds and go back to work after pageouts with my current 640 Mb than pay $500 for more RAM. That's $1/MB of new RAM. TOO MUCH!

Got Money?

Because anyone who calls someone a cheapskate because he thinks $500 is a lot for 1GB of RAM is an a$$.

Money does not come from daddy's wallet. Nor does it come from one's relatives.

$500 is a lot of money. When a 512MB stick is $100, why must the 1GB version be 5 times that? Price it lower and sell more!
