does it work with Word X

I have used EndNote 6.0.2 for the past year with Microsoft Word version X. The 2 programs are intended to interlock flawlessly, and in prior versions of EndNote and Word they really did well. Unfortunately the 2 programs work extremely poorly together due to some unspecified incompatibility. Eseentially, Word repeatedly crashes and hangs when EndNote is plugged into it. The Support from EndNote has offered a fix that involves digging around and trashing 6 different preference items from each program, as well as Word's Normal Template. This always gets the 2 programs up and working again for a good day or 2 before the next crash, when the entire procedure has to be repeated. When I have asked EndNote if they have any understanding of the issue, and/or plan to address it, they have not responded. Since the interaction of the 2 programs is a much-advertised feature of the EndNote program, and since it works so poorly, I would just be curious to know if EndNote is every going to get that feature back to the level of function it had with EndNote 4 and EndNote 5.
