calm down a bit, shall we? This hasn't confirmed and nobody's made any official statement concerning this either.. so IMHO, this isn't a news story. Until then, it's a fairy tale. Maybe if I just 'allege' that "Apple is dying", will you post that as 'news' as well?! Maybe I could call CNN too..

$5 says it's EMI-related

IIRC Europe is stricter about RF leakage than the U.S., so it's possible (if this is ***OMG CONFIRMED***) that there were some questions or issues with the unit's ability to isolate its emissions.

Its probably the box!

"Beim Final Test wurde festgestellt dass sich bei den meisten Gehäusen die Seitenwand nicht korrekt schliessen lässt. Deswegen wurde alle G5 zurückgezogen."
Translated: the case side doesn't close properly on most of the G5 box's, thats why they've been recalled.

No biggie

becuase most G5s have not left yet, so this really will only affect a few customers. If this news is true, I think it is good that Apple is recalling their computers so much in the beginning of the shipping procedure.

5300 Problem!
08/25, 01:14pm reply
Its the 5300 problem all over again. Computers catching fire just looking at them. Oh, and I bet that 10.2.7 crashed whenever anyone decided to use the computer for more than booting up and running mail and safari.
As I say, if you can't trust a foreign language rumor site of questionable credibility, who can you trust?

RDF Issues
08/25, 01:31pm reply
Apparantly there is a problem with the RDF emmitted by the G5, its too low. The computers are coming back in for a mod to make it equal to its actual performance.
