    Max RAM 2GB?

Hmm... I think the message with subject "max RAM is a downgrade" is erroneous. The older G4's could THEORETICALLY hold four (4) 512MB DIMMs, but the computer would only "see" 1.5 GB RAM. It's been at a max of 1.5 GB RAM since the AGP G4s came out. On the even OLDER G4's with PCI graphics, the max RAM is 1.0 GB.

    UMA2?

is the new chipset for these G4s UMA2 or just a vamped version of apple's current chipset? I thought the 133Mhz bus and 4x AGP were characteristics of UMA2...?

I think these models use UMA-2.

    Radeon vs. GeForce2

Why would anyone want to substitute Radeon for a GeForce2?

    PC133

So the rumors where right. Its is only a PC133 SDRAM! As I see it the Power Macs sufferd from a main bus bottleneck --I am not so concened about the processor clock.
Unfortunely Apple choose to adress this only half-heatedly. With DDRAM this machine would have been a remarkable update allowing enough headroom for the DP-options . But so it's still a remarkable update --sort of.

    G4 & superdrive

For those of us who bought a G4 before Superdrive, do you think apple/ Pioneer will do a standalone version? If not, what's the solutions for someone who wants to use iDVD but has no SuperDrive??

    Price reality check

Athlon 1GHz x2, 256MB of PC133 SDRAM, DVD/CD-RW, 30GB drive, nVidia GeForce 2 GTS (not the cheap MX in the new Macs), SoundBlaster, keyboard, mouse, 10/100 Ethernet:

    $1904

Apple, please drop hardware & make OSX cost $500 if you insist on high profit margins. Hardware was a good idea, but it's over.
