Apple's iPod has been recognized as the in the European Imaging and Sound Association's (EISA) annual awards. EISA credits the iPod as: "A standard-bearer for the future of Internet music," reports Macworld UK. The iPod received the award based on the success of Apple's iTunes Music Store, described as: "the first successful paid-for Internet music service."
