DataIsland Software has announced (FMP) FileMaker Plug-in for desktop credit Authorization under Mac OS X. Abacus Authorize offers a desktop solution for authorizing and capturing credit card transactions along with comprehensive contact management, invoicing and POS systems: "The AuthPayX FMP is ideally suited for network–based transactions, Point of Sale (POS), and other network and desktop applications using the FileMaker Pro database. For most versions, we feature an unlimited number of clients." The AuthPayX (FMP) client will ship by mid-September of 2003, while Abacus Authorize is due by the end of September.
