Adobe has posted its for Mac OS X, noting that the plug-in update is designed to optimize Adobe Photoshop 7.0.1 for use with the Apple's Power Macintosh G5. It modifies many Photoshop operations to fully utilize the G5 processor capabilities and replaces the Adobe Color Engine component (ACECarbonLib) with a new version that is designed for the G5 processor.

    Re: How About

The version of ACE used in other Adobe applications is different than that used in Photoshop. You cannot interchange them. Photoshop also makes much heavier use of ACE during normal operations than do other Adobe apps so the G5 will show the biggest advantage for users under Photoshop.

    Gotta feeling

no one in the forums will be commenting on the performance of the G5 because EVERYONE will have ordered a dual 2.0 GHz model!

    I can see...

some noticable improvement over performances on my LC. That definitely was worth the download...
