    Setback?

Couldn't they include internal antennas in that mesh grid? This sounds like a huge setback, having the case marred by external antennas sticking out the back...

    Antennae Theft

I can see school kids ripping the antennae off all ready.

    Re: Antennae Theft

School kids won't get these machines.

They get eMacs and iBooks at the best.

    Outstanding design

NOT. I wonder if Apple is about to release new keyboards and mice that will match the g5 design ? If so, I wonder if the new mouse will finally have 3 buttons and a scroll wheel. It's about time...

    Mice

Well, the people who showed us the G5, don't know who they are, can't be stuff lookin, but they used a G5 with a kensington three button mouse.

There can only be two conclusion made from this,

    1) apple is going to bring us a multi-button mice but don't want to give it away too early.

    2) the Craptastic Single Mice from apple was just so c*** they wouldn't use it.

    Re: Setback

Sure, they could have put the antennas inside the case, if you didn't want to ever use AirPort or Bluetooth. The entire case is one huge RF shield-- external antennas was the only way to go. They don't look too large to me, plus they're in the back where anyone who's using the machine won't see them. I don't think they will 'mar' the appearance of the case back there any more than the normal cables that will be connected.

    Big deal

So what if the antena is attached to the back.
you don't stare at the back anyway.
It's the best solution for now with the aluminum casing and it's no big deal.

I can't belive anyone would make a big deal over something small on a computer that amazing.
    Live with it

normally, i try to forgive the occasional grammar, spelling or punctuation mistake, but since your post is friggin' LITTERED with them, let's just ignore anything you have to say from here on out, shall we?

Did you ever stop to think that English may not be the poster's primary/first language? He/she just may be a foreign student! What a concept! Give the guy/gal some slack.

Anyway, back to the topic: as long as the antenna provides the machine with functionality it wouldn't have otherwise (i.e. increased wireless range or signal strength) I say go for it. Consumers (especially Mac buyers) deserve all the functionality the product can provide out of the box.
