A MacNN reader writes: "On Thursday, Apple will be opening a large store in the trendy in the south of Seoul. It's part of Apple's major push in Korea, which will feature a lot of deals and the iPod for Windows in Korean roll-out. It's a great location, big, in perhaps the most busy place in all of Korea. (The store is between the biggest bookstore in Korea and arguably the largest movie theater in the world)."

    Good luck...

    They'll need it!

When more than half the websites in Korea require IE on a Windows PC, the "worlds most wired nation" (TM) is gonna have a conniption when they realize they cant access their online banking site because the plug-in (yes a banking site that requires a windows plug-in) doesn't work on their shinny new mac...

It sucks, but Korea is gonna be tougher to crack than a diamond...

Though I hope apple does gain Market Share, then maybe those stupid windows only sites start to take notice.

    What about Canada?

Good for Apple moving forward into Korea! But what about Canada? Or does Apple believe the local Mac retailers and FutureShop are handling the publicity? I know FS is useless... and the local mac retailers are just too small to pull an Apple Store sized shop. Although Carbon Computing in Toronto is doing an awesome job from the news I've heard from the people who have visitied there.

    Largest Movie theater?

It says it only has 16 screens. That's no where near the largest. We have a few 20 screen and 24 screen theaters in Phoenix, and those are by no means the largest.

    An Apple Store, in Korea?

No one finds this a bit strange? Either the article is rather confusing or the information comes from ultra classified sources. The only on schedule *non-US* Apple Store is the one in Tokyo, so either this isn't an *Apple Store* but an Apple Center or something similar, or (as I said) the sources are quite high in the Apple chain of command because no mention of a Korea Apple Store has been made anywhere else... Anyone?
