    the new ipod

Got to try the new iPod at an Apple store today for the first time.

Is it just me, or did they totally f*** up the interface?

I don't even want one anymore....

    got one..

I recieved my navipod about a week ago for the new ipod. It works just as advertised! I love it!

If you have a dock hooked up to the ipod, you can still output through the line out connection, which is nice. The remote is a little tiny disc that works fine, but I programmed my universal remote to learn its functions, and it works beautifully...

    re: interface

gotta admit, i am not thrilled with the responsiveness of the four nav buttons, and i always liked the spinning jog dial better than the circular trackpad (but i understand why they did both). i just wish the four nav buttons had a bit more physical responsiveness than they have now.

then again, i wouldn't turn one down if they gave it to me. ;-)

    re: interface

Well of course if someone wants to give me one I'll take it ;)

I was very disappointed by the kludginess of the interface though -- not at all what I expect from apple.

I suppose PC users will feel right at home though, LOL.

    Keyspan?

Anyone know how to do this using the Keyspan unit if the iPod dock is plugged into the Mac via FireWire? If there isn't something out there, there should be...

    RE: Keyspan

Why wouldn't you just use the Keyspan w/ iTunes then if you are connected to the Mac? I just got one of these naviPods yesterday and it rules! Very very slick.
