Switcher comments on campaign

updated 01:35 pm EDT, Thu July 24, 2003

Apple 'Switch' ad star in defense of the Switch campaign this morning. Mr. Cohick was compelled to post on the subject after three different market research firms reported that Apple's marketshare fell in the past year.

    Hmm...

Well, those are some interesting comments there, and seem to come from a reasonable standpoint.

    Worth reading.

Funny and articulate. This guy should have a regular spot doing this.

...thought he was a phoney...until this blog. Smarter than I gave him credit for.

    Fair and Balanced ...

... those three media outlets that ran the original FUD articles should give equal space to Cohick's comments. He is one very savvy, articulate cookie -- and he made a really nice Netscape icon! :)

    Think about it

    One thing is certain.
Those who already own Macs, also bought new Macs
Those who switched from PC's bought new Macs too.

SO! where is the logic in stating that Apple's market share hasn't grown. The simple fact that there are switchers (thousands) is a testament to the ads and Apple's increased market share.

    Not

Interesting? I think not. His arguments (of dismissing the Other as ignorant) is tired. Nothing new.

Unlike some others on this board, his argument is very well articulated.

    Sorry Charlie...

I sold my Powerbook (after over 10 yrs as an exclusive mac user) & bought a brand new PC @ 4.5x the mhz with the money... I can't believe I waited as long as I did - it is soooo much faster... Oh & the software works...

    I switched alright...

Then what the h*** are you doing reading a Mac web board? Feeling a little regretful of your decision??? Just want to hang out with all the intelligent people, hoping some will rub off on you??? Or just one of those "I switched to a PC and I want everyone to know I think I made the right decision so I'm going to go troll on some Mac web boards and tell them what idiots they are because I have no life and nothing better to do" guys?

If I were you, I'd be more impressed that your year old 667MHz Powerbook sold for as much as it did. Let's see how much your PC will sell for next year.

Oh, and my software works too.
