    Another Security Update?

That's it! I'm switching to windows! At least then I know I should check for updates every day.

    This update

I think screwed up my powerbook audio...

    Before the update, no problems.
After, I get a pop every time I get an e-mail notification sound.

Oh and I've tried the trick of keeping the sound awake...

    NO GOOD.

    What gives apple?

    Security Update

Go ahead, switch to windows. I just recieved 3 microsoft security alerts today. 6 in the last 2 weeks.

As for the audio, I've had that happen for a while now. Pretty sure the patch didn't touch anything with the audio. Coincidence only....

    ...

An update a week keeps, well, Apple is beginning to be like Microsoft.

Pfft. don't like about MS security alerts? Disable notification then. Don't blame others for your own ineptitude.

    Disable?

You didn't just say ignore the updates did you? I mean, they are there for a reason, and oh, I remember, Microshit igrnored their own updates and got slammed on more than one occasion.

    Apple is not like MS.
Apple will never be like MS.
    Apple cannot be like MS.

    Don't Meet Requirements?

I went to run the update that I downloaded from the apple site and it says that I can not install this update because I do not meet the requirements

    *OS X 10.2.6 -> Got It
*Mac OS Compat. Computer -> No Brainer there

    I'm up to date otherwise
    What Gives?

You need Mac Manager installed as well.

    No..

No you f****** idiot. I said disable update *NOTIFICATION*. Don't blame Microsoft for your own stupidity. Oh yea, the latest critical update protects user who played a malformed MIDI file that creates a buffer over/underrun error blah blah . Please don't even bother trying to convince that is vital to you to install that *immediately*.
