Pacific Image Electronics announced today that it is bundling LaserSoft's SilverFast SE 6.0 with its popular film scanner. The SilverFast software will give users the ability to improve the appearance of scanned images. The PF1800 Silver is priced at $240 and is an "affordable, yet powerful" tool targeted for the needs of desktop publishers, graphic and Web designers, photographers and PC/photo enthusiasts. The unit, which is 1.65 pounds and measures just 10.5 X 6.5 X 2.5 inches, connects via USB port.
