Apple retail store news

MacNN reader Hal Bergman notes that he and a friend and in an effort to be first in line for the new store.
Meanwhile, MacNN reader Christopher Lockhart offered some more details on the Apple retail store we noted in Johannesburg, South Africa: "I went past the store situated in Sandton Square Mall (part of Sandton City Mall) last
night and the wraps are off. While the shop looks identical to an
AppleStore, it is actually an 'Apple Centre'. As far as I understand, from a conversation I had many months ago, the store is a joint effort with Apple South Africa and a local dealer, Cool Apple Buddy. I think there may be another store opening in Cape Town, as a joint venture with Project 3. Apparently, both these dealers were chosen for their long and successful experience in running a retail store."

Computer as fetish?
I'm sorry... Macs are cool machines and all.. but spending the night in front of a store!?! To see what? Exactly what you could see at Creative Computers 2 milels away or the Apple Store at the Grove 12 miles away? I'm afraid this is one story the grandkids aren't gonna be too interested in (provided these guys get a chance to add to the gene pool in the first place).
By the way... what's with the above post? Seriously. Is that what dyslexia looks like? Couldn't just be poor typing, right? I'm honestly curious.
