Kano debuts SLIM-K2Xtreme portable DVD+RW

has introduced its SLIM-K2Xtreme portable DVD+RW drive. The FireWire/USB 2.0 combo drive measures 5.5"x6"x.75" and weighs only 10 ounces. It features on-the-fly video, audio and data recording with write speeds are 2.4x2.4x8x for DVDs and 16x8x24x for CD-RWs. The Mac version includes Roxio's Toast Lite (for burning CDs and DVDs) and Dantz Retrospect Express (for data backup and restore). The Slim-K2Xtreme is now available for $400.
