    More background

3 years ago there was a huge rush of bankruptcy filings in the Redmond area. Seems that MS and their key broker had actively urged (read required) their middle management execs to take the options offered to them as a part of their compensation. When the MS stock dropped between Dec. 1999 and Mar. 2000, these MS employees were required to exercise their options because the price of the stock supporting them was so low. In exercising them, they triggered big timepersonal capital gains taxes and no one had the cash to cover that so to bankruptcy they went. Nice work MS.

I am not the biggest fan on their food. But I gotta say this is a brilliant move. One pundit chastised them for not focusing on their key demographic. Like that has helped them post profits. Yes the food could be better, and that will cement the relationship. But this will bring in more college students, Business travellers, people like me that have abandoned McD's. People that have been absent ifor the last 10 years. But they need to make it ubiquious. So when you think meal and WiFi, you automatically think McD's. Kinda like when you are short on cash and you think Carl's Jr. cuz they have Paypoints at every cash register. And especially every airport McD's in the nation should have this. I heard an offer for like 15 min of connection time for buying a Big Mac, Brilliant.

    Meal and WiFi

I simply don't think "Meal and WiFi." And if I force myself to, I think, Greasy McKeyboard, and I'll gladly pass.

    No duh

MS also created thousands of millionaires, provide great benefits, and is considered a place where you work with brilliant people. Win some lose some. I do not feel sorry at all for those MS people. I have not even heard of the "required to exercise option" claim you made. Please provide proof.

    wireless

have a wireless access point isn't enough to make me go there, screaming kids, so-so food. If you live in a large city, there are literally thousands of places to hook up. Traveling in the car, and using net stumbler, you can find oodles of places to connect to on the freeway, anywhere, no thanks mcdonalds...
