FileWave today announced : FileWave XServer 1.0, FileWave XAdmin 1.0, and FileWave XClient 3.0--new components designed to run exclusively on Mac OS X: "The result of these [rebuilding] efforts is not simply a new FileWave™ version, but a completely new product. Previously unknown ease-of-use, combined with amazing speeds were only possible by developing the new products from scratch and using the power of the Mac OS X operating system." [site not updated]

FileWave offers centralized, automated management of software using a graphical interface from a central FileWave central server. Administrators can remotely install or update software using intelligent install server functions such as auto-resume and automatic update during user idle time. Security settings and parameters for e-mail and other Client/Server applications can also be centrally customized and managed. FileWave also offers easy "roll-back" options to a previous version of software if problems are encountered.
