OpenLink Software has released , an update to its "collective ODBC ecosystem" for Mac OS X. Version 5.0 adds full Unicode and Rendezvous support to OpenLink's Data Access Suite, while expanding platform and DBMS support to include JDBC 3.0 (JDK 1.4), and the latest shipping versions of OpenLink Virtuoso, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB/2, Informix, Sybase Adaptive Server, Progress, and others.

OpenLink also announced Virtuoso 3.2 for Mac OS X, the latest edition of its cross platform Virtual Database for SQL, XML, and Web Services. The new release incorporates full client and server support for the Blogger, Moveable Type, and MetaWeblog APIs, providing users with choice over location, format, data storage, development environment, and host operating system, for personal, community, and corporate Weblogs. It also adds support for Python and Perl, in addition to existing support for .NET, ASP, PHP, and Java Server Pages.
