LANDesk Software is demonstrating new software license monitoring and management capabilities for Mac OS X in the Exhibit Fair at WWDC. The company says it plans to make this new technology available as a product update to the solution in the fourth quarter of this year. The new software license management technology follows the recent release of software distribution, expanded inventory and remote control support for Mac OS X in LANDesk Management Suite 7. LANDesk Software License Monitoring also provides the ability to deny unauthorized applications from running, even when a machine is disconnected from the network via a resident agent, as well as sophisticated reporting with audit, execution and usage trend reports.
