Apple to offer free compliance testing

Apple will offer WWDC attendees the opportunity to have their FireWire 400 (IEEE 1394a) devices tested for compliance for free while at the show. Testing will be conducted by the 1394 Trade Association and will be completely underwritten by Apple, "a $500-$1500 value per device." "Bring multiple devices and recoup the cost of your WWDC attendance," says Apple.
