Big Nerd Ranch has released "Core Mac OS X and Unix Programming," co-authored by Mark Dalrymple and Aaron Hillegass. Previously available only as a student guide for the Big Nerd Ranch class by the same name, the new 541-page book shows programmers the underpinnings of Mac OS X. Topics covered are the same as those in the $3500 training class, including Advanced C, GCC, Sockets, Authorization and Authentication, Distributed Objects, Rendezvous, and others. It is $100.
