Sustainable Softworks today released , an Internet firewall application for Macintosh computers running Mac OS X. IPNetSentryX rules can be based on IP addresses, ports and protocols (services) as well as on the content of incoming datagrams (e.g. to detect worms). It also lets users define which actions to take when rules are met, including the ability to block an intruder (trigger), send an email warning of the intrusion, and/or executing an AppleScript. The $40 application includes free registration of IPNetSentry Classic. Upgrades are $20. A 21-day trial is available.
