    Ha!

Apple notes that Mac OS X 10.2.4 and later include an updated "httpd.conf" file as part of a larger Rendezvous update, which may cause "problems with the configuration of Personal Web Sharing."

Did I miss an update somewhere that *didn't* mess with my httpd.conf?

    16x9 does work, kinda...

I filmed some stuff in 16x9 on my sony pc10. When I import it to iMovie, everything is stretched and tall. Kind of annoying to work with, but usable.

Then when I export it to quicktime, I set the resolution to be a 16x9 ratio and it looks great.

Granted, this was a while ago with an older version of iMovie, so perhaps they "enhanced" that capability out of it.

    16x9 is NOT distorted!

If you master the movie in iMovie, then display it on a widescreen TV, everything will be fine.

So to say "It won't work" is Stupid of Apple.

    16*9 will work!!

Apple doesn't know what they are talking about. Of course it will be distorted, it si ANAMORPHIC!!!!!! Play it out to a widescreen monitor ora regular monitro that handles 16*9 images it will will be fine. They just need to tell people what anamorphic really is and how it works. GEEZZ apple!

    Personally...

This is just another lame attempt by Apple to force us to buy FCP or FCE. THAT is my theory as to why they haven't fixed iMovie. Post your thoughts.

    uh yeah

that makes a lot of sense. Apple, in their extensive market research, has determined that the primary market for iMovie - those who make wedding/baby movies and the like - are about to rush out and spend $300 (or $1k!) for a complex and much less consumer-oriented app, because of some bugs.

16:9 camcorders are not a major part of this market.
