As for the war on Iraq. I also find it odd how the goal seemed to change. First it was about WMD. But that wasn't going anywhere in the UN. So the White House starts commenting about links to Al Qaieda (which have never been proven), to the point where most US citizens believed the link. The US finally goes into iraq, with lots of comments about the threats of the WMD. But then none turn up. So then the coverage moves to freeing the Iraqi people. "Oh, look how happy they are to be free from Saddam!" the news people say. Yet we never said "Let's go in and free the people!". h***, the way the US talked, if Saddam just turned over all the WMD, he could've stayed in power. So we didn't go to war to save Iraqis, but used it as an excuse to deflect the fact that all those WMD we feared were both not used, nor can be found (and still haven't been).
