Reader report: first look at Disk Warrior 3

MacNN reader Todd Neely provided us with a brief first look at the new .

"I finally received a copy of the new Disk Warrior...



Running on a PBG44 400; overall, [it] looks nice, boots in OS X with a nice clean interface. [It] diagnoses directory issues really fast, but repairing is slow. It provides a little more detail with the steps. [Ex.] instead
of saying step 9, right now it's indicating it's recording file/folder differences; running 1,897,161 tests. I noticed an advanced button (now grayed out) that I should have played with before repairing.

Running from the desktop requires you select the disk, get info and
uncheck "ignore ownership on this volume" in disk permissions. And, as
usual, you can't run on the startup disk.
