Mathworks Image Processing Toolbox 4 released

The MathWorks today announced the launch of . Based on MATLAB, the toolbox offers engineers and scientists a dedicated solution for imaging applications that combines a direct interface to industry standard frame grabbers and video devices with advanced image processing algorithms. The update delivers significant new features and enhancements in speed and performance by a factor of more than 20 as well as reduced memory requirements. It includes a new image viewer capabilities, including display of image metadata along with pan, scroll, zoom, and overview tools for large images, enhanced color space functions for better support of ICC color profiles, more image enhancement methods, and enhanced DICOM export support. New licenses start at $900.
