has announced the DuoGB, which allows users to easily use two drives from within a single external FireWire enclosure. The two drives will mount as separate drives or can use Mac OS X's built-in RAID functions to stripe or mirror the drives. A single OXFW911 bridge supports two drives with full ATA-6 support (up to 250GB each). The aluminum offers EMI protection and ruggedness for prices starting at $180 (case only). It will also be available in 240GB ($450), 360GB ($640), and 500GB ($870) using two identical capacity drives. Stock of each model is expected within a week.
