Sonnet Technologies today announced , a FireWire/USB 2.0 Combo card. The latest addition to Sonnet's Tango line of FireWire/USB PCI adapter card installs into any available PCI slot to add two external FireWire ports and 2 external USB 2.0 ports (which revert to USB 1.1 under Mac OS 9). The card is $90.
Sonnet also lowered prices on its line of Encore/ST G4, which are now $300, $500, and $600 for the 800MHz, 1.0GHz, and 1.2GHz upgrades, respectively. They are compatible with AGP-, Gigabit-, Digital Audio-, QuickSilver-, and Cube- configurations of the Power Mac G4. Sonnet also reduced the price on its HARMONi G3 iMac upgrade by $50. The 500MHz version is now $250, while the 600MHz version is $400.
