Apple to launch wireless display PC?

The DigiTimes reports that Apple "plans to launch a , according to sources. The display is said to resemble a Tablet PC in appearance and include a detachable keyboard but not have a battery. Whether it has handwriting recognition or any screen input capability is unclear." The report indicates that Taiwan’s Quanta Computer will contract manufacture the product and that Quanta has already begun test production. The same article notes the upcoming release of a 19-inch flat-panel iMac as well.

    can someone explain to me how it gets power/signal?
    bluetooth cannot handle graphics can it?

    yep. if the screen has 802.11g and a cpu capable of doinf real-time decompression you could transmit the screen image from a running mac to the tablet.

    another solution would be something like a remote-login session (like under linux with xfree86), but os x doesn't support multiple concurrent login sessions up to now. maybe that's part of 10.3...? :)
