LANDesk Software today announced a new software distribution solution for Mac OS X as well as expanded inventory and remote control support for Mac OS 8/9/X. The enables corporations to centrally manage the Mac OS-based machines along with the other platforms in their enterprise networks. Mac OS X machines can be inventoried and targeted for software distribution, while a new inventory scanner collects new and expanded data, including USB, FireWire and PCI device information. The application, due in the second quarter of this year, also provides increasesd remote control performance via the Web. Pricing will be announced on the product's release.
