Runtime Revolution has released a beta of , its multi-platform development tool. This major new release builds on Revolution's existing strengths, which include an easy-to-use interface builder, an English-like programming language, database access, multimedia, Internet support, and more. It features XML creation and parsing, SOAP support, unicode text entry/manipulation, a new UI, improved database access (PostgreSQL, MySQL SSL, etc.), video capture, text-to-speech, Perl-compatible regular expressions, and other features. Pricing specials are available during the beta period.
