today announced the certification of Chaparral's RIO storage product line with Apple's Xserve running Mac OS X Server 10.2.2 as well as full support of the Rendezvous protocol using RIO RAIDar Administrator Plus V1.2.1. The high-performance storage line utilizes Rendezvous to facilitate addressing (allocating dynamic IP addresses to devices), naming (using names to refer to devices instead of IP addresses) and service discovery (finding and using RIO's services on the network). RAIDar Administrator Plus V1.2.1 is immediately available for both existing and new RIO customers. [link added]
