Web Crossing today shipped , with a new customization and extensibility architecture that features appearance themes, page component options, server plugins, Web publishing, built-in ftp services, improved mail functions, better search, HTML compression, and a new WebFiles system for mirroring files from a browser. Web Crossing v5.0 upgrades are available today on a traffic-based sliding scale starting at $120, while full versions start at $300 (or $65/month for a server-hosted solution).
Web Crossing also released Web Crossing Express, a free integrated Web Crossing Web/Mail/FTP server solution that runs on Windows, Macintosh, Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris and other Unix operating systems providing Web, FTP and Email (POP/SMTP/IMAP) servers in Web Crossing's integrated environment. It has "all the robust user access controls available in Web Crossing, plus the ability to wrap HTML pages in Themes" as well as remote administration.
