NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics today announced its professional-level 19-inch NEC MultiSync LCD1980SX monitor. Extending the , this new model offers a native resolution of 1280 x 1024 @ 60Hz, XtraView wide-angle viewing technology (horizontal and vertical viewing angles up to 170-degrees), a height-adjustable stand, pivot functions, and a 25 ms response time. It features a DVI-I connector for digital or analog input, a DVI-D connector for digital-only input, and a traditional 15-pin VGA connector for legacy analog-only connections. It is due later this month for $1,000 in white with brushed aluminum and black cabinet options. It is backed by a three-year limited warranty.
