- Issa 1.1 is new version of the $10 virtual fridge poetry set by Stick Software: "[it] gives you a bunch of word tiles and lets you assemble poetry using them. With the ability to configure everything from Issa's vocabulary to the font, size and color of your poems, plus facilities for sharing your poems with other users and posting them to the web." Version 1.1 of Issa fixes several bugs in the previous version and adds Spanish localization. [904KB]
- Stick Software has also updated its full-featured screen snapshot utility, Constrictor 2.3: "It lets you position a frame and then snap the area inside, applying border effects and saving in a variety of formats. It's even scriptable." Version 2.3 of the $10 shareware fixes several bugs and adds a new icon. [396KB]
- MySQL 4.012 earlier this week was been declared stable for production use; with the v4.0 release, the company has released official Mac OS X binaries of the new database server software. Version 4.0 brings speed enhancements via query caching, native support for InnoDB storage engine, full-text indexing, new Truncate/Identity/Union statement support, and on-the-fly switching of parameters.
