I'm sure it got a big sloppy kiss on the way out the door...
I hope this means they'll be reducing the prices on the more equipped bottom end machines (emacs and LCD imacs) SOON
SWEET.. I've been a tower junkie all my life and have a Dual G4 with a Cinema Display 22".. but recently purchased a 17" iMac 1 ghz and that freaking machine is sweet.. not to mention that its FAST.. but the ability to move the neck around like was a breath of FRESH air. Especially for us whom stay on ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT for work. It just impressed the heck outta me.
Are you in the upcoming special olympics? Bet you'll get a medal....
R.I.P.
... but the moment has been prepared for.
I'm typing this on a G3/700 iMac (Snow), the last of the breed. It's a wonderful machine that hasn't given me a moment's trouble.

The iMac is dead. Long live the iMac.
The right product at the right time.
Apple wouldn't have a send off party without having some big announcement about a new product to supercede it. However, Steve-o has already said that he won't be attending MacWorld because he doesn't have anything new and impressive to say this time.
To the person who posted "It's the end ... - MacNN.com Reader 107761 3/19/03, 11:33 am EST" NICE Doctor Who reference there. Thought no one would notice did you? :)
I was just thinking about getting a few of them for use at one of our summer camps. Oh well, we'll have to upgrade to emacs instead.
