Former Palm/Be Exec rejoins Apple as VP

Software developer Steve Sakoman, a former Palm and Be executive, has , reporting to Apple Senior Vice President Avie Tevanian, according to c|net: "Sakoman, who most recently helped lead development of the Palm operating system, worked on the Newton handheld project, among other things during his previous stint at Apple." Sakoman was hired to be vice president of software technology.

    I've worked for Steve at both Be and PalmSource. He's a good guy to work with and for, and very bright. I look forward to seeing what he does at Apple.
