What a great thing, not to mention a great way for Apple to get the attention of school districts. Fill a bus with the Apple Store, and take it on the road. The kids will be taling about it for weeks after the bus is gone, and they will realize what a bunch of c*** their Win PCs are....

Do people have to complain about everything these days? If the article has nothing to complain about then you have to complain about the posters comments!

How childish :(

I remember an article about this many years ago - the telecomputer bus was part of the Apple Classroom Of Tomorrow (ACOT) project and used to house an Appleshare IP based network with powermacs.

not exactly.

what you're using is most likely whats become known in the industry as 2.5G. This test project on the Isle, picked for it's isolation, is a TRUE 3G network, the likes of which are not yet online in the States, which offers pretty incedible speed. As much as I love the service I get thru my Vision handset on my laptop, it certainly wouldnt be adequate to distribute to a network like they're doing...
