- Dockless 1.1 allows Mac OS X users to select whether or not to display running applications in the Dock. It also enables users to display running programs exclusively. "Dock real estate can become precious, and some apps don't make a whole lot of sense sitting there," says the developer. [Download - 72KB]
- Dog Park Software has released version 1.8.5 of MacDopplerPRO, its $75 HAM radio software. This release improves the predictions dialog's speed, updates 'Moon psuedo-keps' for 2003, and speeds up 3D rendering. [Download - Classic, OS X]
- The Mac-Stacks Emporium today released Patent Grabber 2.4, which now offers the ability to download published U.S. patent applications from free public archives. Other less significant new features were added, according to the developer. Patent Grabber 2.4, for Mac OS 9 only, is a free upgrade for registered users. [Download - 1.2MB]
- MacTiVo Blesser is a collection of software written by Eric Wagner for free distribution. MacTiVo Blesser is a formatting utility that sets Linux partitions on IDE drives for use in TiVos as "B" drives: "In many cases, TiVos with one hard drive can simply "Bless" their new drive and add it - then the TiVo automatically uses it for extra recording capacity. MacTiVo Blesser performs the same function as the Linux BlessTiVo does." [Classic, OSX]
- Font Showcase 4.0 is a $20 shareware font viewing utility used to view and print TrueType fonts--both those that are in the system folder and those that have not yet been installed. Version 4.0, a complete rewirte, is only supported in Mac OS X 10.2 and above. The interface contains professionally designed graphics, and a few new features, including Font Panes for comparing several fonts side-by-side. [988KB]
