    Wouldn't it be better...

    to fix the "many deficiencies" in Darwin in the Darwin project itself, rather than create a whole new lame project? This is the curse of the open source community - someone downloads the entire CVS tree and creates a 'new' distribution for no apparent reason (other than wanting to be able to control the thing themselves).
