    SaahhWeet!

Companies like this embracing Apple technology is so great to see! Imagine a new "TIVO" button in the bottom of iPhoto to allow it to slideshow your photos. Add similar features for iMovie & iTunes, and you've got an amazing home entertainment device!

    Can't wait

I have been waiting for this one for a while. I guess we will see new versions of iPhoto and iTunes in April since that is when the TiVo HMO is slated to be avaliable (we all know that tech companies are always on time right?)

    Why???

Why is this so sweeeeeeet? Ooooh, rather than plugging my computer into my stereo, or just putting my CDs into my stereo, let me stream my MP3s from my computer to my Tivo into my TV! And look, now everyone can see the pictures of my vacation to the grand canyon on my television! Woohoo! Its the return of the family and friends 'slide show'!!!!

Call me when something interesting is done (now getting tivo content onto my mac, that would be interesting...)

    Because:

It's cool because if you DON'T have a Superdrive, you can still show your home movies on your TV.

It's cool because (with Airport in TIVO/Networkable Stereo) I don't have to run a cable to my radio to listen to my music on another room, on another floor of my house.

It's cool because it's perhaps the first device that has embraced Apple technology (or at least OS X) and extended Apple's digital-hub idea.

It's cool because it will make Windoze users give OS X a second look.

    THAT'S why.

BFD. iPhoto & iTunes? Who cares? I don't think the previous poster is correct. I don't see that you can stream video off you Mac. Just stills and music. Kind of no big deal if you ask me. Now let your mac interface with TiVo, do programming from your Mac and download media files FROM the the TiVo onto your deskop... then you're talking.

    so no Apple tv device

I guess this puts end to a set top device from Apple.

Great to see Apple and major companies working together. Won't it be nice to see an "Made to work with Apple" sticker on the side of devices now? Or a Redezvous logo sticker with "made by Apple" under it. Then all those pc weenies can see that Apple innovates and M$ masturbates.

    rendezvous

The sweet thing with this is rendezvous! A TiVo is just a linux box, and it won't be long before people start writing programs to access recordings. So, even if Apple and TiVo don't offer access to all your favorite shows you recorded, some one out there will. There are already linux hackers who can transfer recordings, and that's without rendezvous and they even had to hack the hardware to network the box. It won't be long before you're editing the Simpsons on your Mac!

    the unsweet thing is

TiVo will charge extra for this! It'll be part of some premium home services for an extra $10/month or something rediculous! The best thing I did with TiVo was cancel it.
