- Nemesys Software has released File Synchronization 1.1, which adds automatic synchronization, and new options to move orphaned files to the trash instead of deleting them and to keep orphaned files that have been modified since the last synchronization. - CourseForum 1.3 is the latest version of the web-based application for e-learning content creation, sharing and discussion. CourseForum can be used for lecture notes, Q&A, discussion topics, research, student portfolios, and group projects. The update features new formatting options and changes in login, search, editing, posting, and administration as well as changes for Apple's Safari Web browser. A license starts at $80, with a free version available as well.
- AppMac today released wKids 1.0 Preview, a $60 custom web browser designed for children, which allows parents to control URL access. It also released a preview of wKiosk 2.0, its secure, full-screen Web browser designed for kiosks and other public and/or shared places. - MAKI Enterprise has released an update to its URL control application: KidsServer 1.2 offers proxy server functions with advanced web filtering capabilities, including support for annotating websites, including the ability to change Website content (e.g., adds notes to a technical term or add a link to to a dictionary site).
